Comedy is that one thing in popular culture that we possibly need to expose ourselves to as we emerge from the somewhat dark times of the recent past. For those performers who were gifted with the funny gene, we salute you. You’ve got the ability to lighten up an atmosphere and help us connect with each other again through the art of often self-deprecating humour and comedy. 

Stand up comedy is hugely popular in Scotland, and although Edinburgh may be long associated with the comedy scene, Glasgow’s culture of comedy is growing year on year.

Next month, we are thrilled that the Glasgow International Comedy Festival returns to our city. Taking place from March 11th – 27th, 2022. it is currently Europe’s largest festival and attracts hundreds of talented comedians from all over the globe.
