The Hoolie in the Hydro takes place every year and this year you’re invited to SAVE THE DATE that is Saturday, December 7th. This musical event is a celebration of Scottish Traditional Music where the iconic, the well-established and the up and coming musical talents of this genre come together for a live musical extravaganza.
Every year the organisers of the Hoolie in the Hydro seem to raise the bar to ensure some of the biggest names in the business are part of the lineup to ensure an incredible day and night out.
Capercaille celebrate 40 years in the Scottish music scene and are set to lead the acts on the evening of December 7th. Other well known acts include Skerryvore, Mánran and RURA will appear in the Hydro. Although most of the acts have been confirmed, it is advisable to keep an eye on the ovohydro.com website for up to date information.
Tickets are on sale now with general admission tickets selling from £47 upwards. Under 14’s are welcome with seated tickets from £35.75 and must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
A truly unique event that crosses into the timeline of Christmas celebrations it is always a much anticipated musical event on the Scottish Trad music calendar.
If you are coming to the Hoolie at the Hydro 2024, the Albion Hotel is the ideal place to stay. We are only a half an hour walk from the OvoHydro, or you get there by public transport (Subway/Train) in around the same time. Alternatively, you are approx. a 10 minute taxi ride if that seems more attractive!
