02 Aug Midweek Madness
£25 Discount With Our Midweek Madness
Been chained to your desk all summer long? Time for a change of scenery? Maybe you fancy taking a hike in the Trossachs, a boat out across Loch Lomond or a cycle ride along the Glasgow canals? Or are cocktails and fine dining more your thing? Did someone say award-winning comedy 7-nights a week? Sounding interesting, isn’t it? Well, all that and more is at your fingertips with a trip to central Scotland and our hotel, the Albion, is perfectly located in Glasgow’s swish West End, giving you easy access to all of the above.
If you’ve already had your summer holiday and have started saving for all those upcoming Christmas pressies (if you have, we salute you, Kings and Queens of organization!), you’ll perhaps think that a city break is beyond the reach of your wallet. We come bearing good news though, as we’re offering a whopping £25 discount on all midweek breaks booked direct through the Albion website this August. Simply enter SUMMERBREAK into the discount code box when you book, and the offer is yours!
Now, to the important stuff. What exactly are you going to get up to while you’re here? Well, there’s the Edinburgh Fringe, of course. Just a train ride away and you’re in Scotland’s capital, which sees around a million tourists flood its streets during the month of August, all clamouring to see the latest hot tickets in comedy, theatre and dance in the world’s biggest arts festival. If that’s not enough, the International Festival and International Book Festival will host talks and work from some of the planet’s most cutting-edge creators too. Make a day of it and head to the Three Sisters (better known as the Free Sisters – because the shows are free- geddit?!) for stand-up shows aplenty and a well-stocked BBQ and bar. Or try the Underbelly garden to keep the drinks flowing and people watch in between performances.
Closer to home, you’ll find the best Glasgow has to offer on the doorstep of our hotel. For midweek bookers, we recommend a trip on foot around Scotland’s largest city, taking in the Glasgow Mural Trail as you go. This series of specially commissioned work adorns the walls of disused or soon-to-be-demolished buildings, and reflects the city’s history and heritage from a tiny bird and giant beard (yes, really!) to father of comedy, Billy Connelly’s portrait.
Whatever you fancy getting up to, make sure you get the best deal at our newly refurbished residence with our SUMMERBREAK discount code and, if you need even more ideas of what to do while you’re visiting, just ask our staff on reception and they’ll be happy to help!
