ExcellentBased on 673 reviewsVerifiedAndrea S2024-03-28Great for visiting U of G Great location for visiting the University of Glasgow. Hotel is a few mins walk from the subway station which is a 9min ride into Glasgow city centre. Lots of bars, pubs, coffee places and restaurants all within close walking distance from hotel. Bed was comfortable, room and bathroom very clean, although the pillows were lumpy and flat. No gluten free options for breakfast, but lots of places to have breakfast near by. Receptionist very helpful with directions and suggestions for vegetarian restaurants.VerifiedEcosseTravellerNo12024-02-27Perfect Overnight Stay A one night stay in Glasgow's west end for an event and the Albion was perfect! Clean, spacious and had all we wanted. Notably a very comfortable bed! Only complaint would be other guests letting the front door slam shut when leaving but we can hardly blame the hotel for inconsiderate guests. Very conveniently located for the underground.Verifiedbryanj472024-02-20Most enjoyable stay Most enjoyable stay. Diane on reception was very welcoming and helpful. My room was warm, the shower great, the breakfast plentiful. The hotel is SO close to the underground. Plenty of choice of cafes and restaurants. I shall stay there again if I possibly can.VerifiedEmma R2024-02-18Lovely place to stay. Lovely hotel, so clean, comfortable and central. Just off Great Western Road so lots of bars, shops etc on the doorstep. We went to Oran Mor for a gig and it was just a 10 min walk. Staff were lovely, particularly Diane who made us feel at home straight away. Breakfast was delicious, cooked fresh to order. Later check out time of 11 am was a bonus too. We will be back as was great value for money also. Thank you.VerifiedJoanne H2024-02-07Lovely little hotel, and great value for money Lovely little hotel in the west end of Glasgow, and a short walk to the subway. It’s very clean and comfortable , really nice staff who are always happy to help. Really good value for money. This was my second stay here and I would recommend and will definitely stay again.VerifiedMaps516305035372024-02-06Comfortable and very convenient A very convenient location for both the West End and the City Centre. Kelvinbridge Subway Stratton is a 2 minute walk from the hotel linking to other parts of the city. Our room appeared to have been fairly recently redecorated and had a pleasant view over the gardens at the back. Rooms at the front overlook the River Kelvin.VerifiedDream636521483012024-01-29Wonderful experience Very comfortable room in an excellent location. We had a double room for a few nights and it was wonderful. Very warm and clean with enough space for what we needed it for. Really close to the west end of the city and those sights, but also less than 5 mins from a subway which opens up the rest of the city. Really great stay!VerifiedRod D2024-01-232 night stay Been three times, all rooms seem very similar decorated and standard. Clean, comfortable. Shower plenty warm water. Staff good. Marlene is very pleasant to deal with. Rooms were warm enough despite it being January and Storm Isha!VerifiedJane E2024-01-02Friendly Hotel Lovely friendly hotel. Spotlessly clean. ExcellentBased on 328 reviewsOlivia Snow2024-03-27Loved the location—so many great restaurants and local shops close to the university. The room was a bit drafty, but comfortable enough. We were not given much information upon checkin, such as the fact that breakfast was something we could sit down and order a warm meal for, so we missed out on that! But I would likely stay here again if back in Glasgow.Paul McCormack2024-03-17Great value, location and serviceNicole Smith2024-03-11It was a fairly nice stay! The location is good, a great neighborhood. The staff is lovely and helpful. The room was small but comfortable. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the cleanest. The carpet had lots of hair in it and dirty tissues in the tissue box on the desk. But otherwise good!Muhammad Kamran2024-03-02Location was good and great value for money, but there is heating issue in some rooms. The staff at the reception is very friendly and cooperative. There was some noise by a group that rented next room, otherwise it didn’t have any traffic noise.Jenny Ryall2024-02-27This is an excellent hotel, really good value for money. Wonderful location near the subway and good, clean rooms. The service was exceptional. Can thoroughly recommend.Dee Booth2024-02-27We had a lovely warm welcome on a chilly afternoon. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped, with comfy beds and plenty of hanging and storage space. It was quiet. It was dark on the morning as the blinds and curtains were both efficient blackout. Breakfast was GREAT! And the location is great too. Easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, cafes, independent shops, the river and the park. And the metro. We will definitely stay there next time we’re in Glasgow.Sarah Haigh2024-02-19Nice comfortable room and spotless bathroom, but there are steep stairs with slippery carpet to most bedrooms, and no one was willing or available to help with luggageKayla Lancaster2024-02-12Excellent place to stay for a short weekend away - we came from Norfolk for a gig and decided to make a weekend of it. Room was clean, staff friendly and located very close to the subway which was £4.30 for all day travel and 6 minutes from the city centre. If we ever find ourselves back in Glasgow, we would stay again :)
