The facilities were very clean and in good condition and very well located.Verifiedsarah p2023-12-12Excellent hotel Myself and my husband an two friends of ours visited this weekend from Wales to see the Xmas markets and do a bit of Christmas shopping. The location is ideal with a subway really close by lots of restaurants and shops at end of street if you don't always want to go into City. The hotel itself has everything you need very cosy and clean. Hotel staff were very helpful and even booked us taxis to and from airport which worked out alot cheaper. Would highly recommend staying here and will definitely visit again ourselves .VerifiedHelen M2023-12-11Best in the west. Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Great position for Glasgows west end, next to the Great Western Road and the subway but surprisingly quiet. Very comfortable too. Will stay here again.VerifiedPassport006065582912023-12-06perfect hotel is very clean, confortable, staff is very polite. location is very good, close to the subway 3/4 stop to/from city center and there are a lot of stores, pubs, markets other amenities nearby. last but not least ten minutes walking to the university.VerifiedNigel H2023-11-22Great little hotel Lovely friendly welcome help and advice from both receptionists. Stayed 4 nights. Very comfortable beds and rooms. Hot chocolate included with the tea and coffee, always a plus 🙂. One minute from the subway. 30 minute walk to the SSE, which even in November was fine. Temperature in the room was easily controlled and you could open the windows. Would definitely stay again if returning to Glasgow.VerifiedTom S2023-11-19Weekend away Booked here for overnight accommodation whilst we were attending a family celebration in the City. As we were going to be visiting the local comedy club this was ideally situated. On arrival we were lucky to get parked right outside the front door. Parking is free over the weekend but charged Mon to Fri for a limit of 3 hrs. Diane booked us in quickly and efficiently and showed us to room 17 on the ground floor. The room was well appointed with multiple power sockets and 4 USB charging points beside the bed. Good free WiFi. Room and toilet/shower very clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable for us. Great sleep. Breakfast was very nice. Fruit juices, teas, coffee, cereals fruit and a good selection of spreads.... even my favourite... Marmite!Verifiedodette r2023-11-11Exactly what we needed We booked this for a night out at a restaurant on Great Western Road, and the location couldn't be better. Very friendly and professional reception, and our room was exactly what we needed. Very large (3 beds), clean, bathroom small but clean and everything you need. All in all great value for money, yes you have to pay for parking but that is the same in any city.
ExcellentBased on 317 reviewsRonan Boyle2024-01-22Really lovely small hotel right in the West End. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and cosy. I stayed in a single room and the bed was comfy. Would definitely stay here again if I was out in the West end.Angela2024-01-19This is our 2nd visit here and it won't be the last - now our hotel of choice when visiting Glasgow. Fantastic location, just off the Great Western Road and very close to the Kelvinbridge subway. It is located in a very quiet street opposite the river. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable - the rooms are spacious and warm and the beds very comfy. We've never had such a warm, inviting and friendly welcome as that from Diane, who was front of house this time. We met Marlene the last time and were greeted the same - these ladies are just terrific! Excellent value for money, our stay included a full breakfast of our choice which was cooked to perfection by both Isaac and Diane. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.Michelle Burrow2024-01-15Lovely hotel run by friendly and helpful staff. Location is excellent for restaurants and shops. Our room was clean and had all we needed. We found it to be great value for the location and offering. Easy to get to from the airport if you visiting and very easy to get into town via public transport. They do have rooms on the ground floor so if you have mobility issues be sure to ask for one of those as there is no lift.Ian2024-01-12Lovely comfortable and friendly hotel with excellent breakfast.Michael Bernete-Diaz2024-01-09Nice and warm, cosy room with very comfortable beds. Lady who handled our reservation and check-in was kind and charming. Location is perfect: both Kelvingrove Park, Hillhead and the Kelvinbridge subway station within a couple minutes walking distance. Would definitely visit againPauline Geddes2024-01-08We love The Albion Hotel. So delighted to return for another excellent stay. Diane on Reception is a lovely, warm and welcoming lady, who also served us a perfectly cooked breakfast, with help from Isaac. Both very friendly and obliging to their customers. Diane is an absolute asset to the hotel group, as is Marlene. The room was spacious, modern, very clean (thank you housekeepers), with a nice view over the River Kelvin. So easy to find. Just get the Underground to Kelvinbridge stop, exit and cross over Great Western Road, and it's 2 mins walk up a quiet wee street. It's 10 mins walk to Oran Mor and Byer's Road. Loads of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants in the west end. Walking distance to local hot spots like Glasgow University, Botanic Gardens and Kelvingrove Museum and Park. Totally recommend The Albion, you'll be hooked, just like us. Thank you to all the team for making our stay a lovely one. We'll be back.Bruce Stevens2024-01-08Very friendly and accommodating staff. Was made to feel very welcome and was provided with early check-in as I had to be away for an early afternoon function. Room was clean and freaky decorated but for me the shower was just a bit too small. It was a single room so maybe that's why. Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and plenty of it! Location was perfect in the lively West End of Glasgow. Highly recommended.
